About this space
A place to settle in and get things done.
Alnwick Playhouse Cultural Co-working offers a monthly working space within Alnwick Playhouse, a longstanding arts centre in Alnwick. The programme is presented as part of Culture Northumberland’s cultural co-working network, bringing together people who want a change from home or café-based working while staying connected to Northumberland’s creative community. It is aimed primarily at artists, creative and cultural freelancers, heritage workers and people employed in the cultural sector who live nearby or want to build links in the area. Bring a project, catch up on administration or use the day to develop ideas alongside other like-minded people. The working environment combines shared hot-desking with breakout spaces for focused work, meetings and Zoom conversations. The Alnwick meet-up also includes a coffee break and informal updates on current projects, giving the programme a friendly, collaborative feel without losing room for independent work. Sessions have been hosted in the Playhouse’s bright White Room, with café facilities and wider arts activity on site. The venue offers live performance, cinema, gallery and community programmes, creating a lively creative setting rather than a conventional office. A ramped entrance, ground-floor access to the White Room and an accessible toilet support a range of visitors, while nearby bus stops and rear car parks make the venue straightforward to reach.
