1. About these terms
These terms and conditions govern your use of Coworking Space UK, including its website, directory listings, search tools, maps, articles, listing-claim service, Owners portal and paid Featured placements.
Coworking Space UK is operated by Digital Rentals, referred to in these terms as “Digital Rentals”, “we”, “us” or “our”.
By using the directory, submitting information, claiming a listing or purchasing a Featured placement, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree to them, you should not use the relevant services.
2. About Coworking Space UK
Coworking Space UK is an independent directory designed to help people discover coworking spaces, creative studios and other places to work.
We provide information and links to help users compare possible workspaces. We do not own, operate, manage, inspect or control the workspaces listed in the directory unless we expressly state otherwise.
A listing does not create a partnership, agency, employment relationship or endorsement between Digital Rentals and the workspace operator.
We are not a booking agent and are not normally a party to any booking, membership, licence, rental agreement, purchase or other transaction between a user and a workspace operator. Any such transaction is governed by the terms provided by the relevant workspace operator.
3. Directory information and accuracy
Directory information may be obtained from:
- Workspace operators and their official websites
- Listing owners and authorised representatives
- Google Maps Platform and other Google services
- Publicly available websites and online directories
- Social media profiles
- Other third-party data sources
- Research carried out by Digital Rentals
- Automated systems and artificial intelligence tools
Some descriptions, summaries, classifications, location information, search content, articles or other material may be generated, rewritten, categorised, translated or supplemented using artificial intelligence.
Although we take reasonable steps to present useful information, we do not independently inspect every workspace or verify every statement. Automated and AI-assisted content can misunderstand source material, omit context or produce incorrect information.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee that any directory information is accurate, complete, current, suitable, available or free from errors.
Information that may change without notice includes:
- Prices, fees and membership options
- Opening hours and staffed hours
- Availability of desks, offices and meeting rooms
- Internet speeds and facilities
- Accessibility information
- Parking and transport information
- Photographs and descriptions
- Addresses, map positions and directions
- Contact details
- Reviews and ratings
- Safety, security and building-access arrangements
- Whether a workspace is still trading
You should confirm important information directly with the workspace operator before travelling, making a booking, entering into an agreement or paying any money.
In particular, you should not rely solely on the directory when making decisions relating to accessibility, health and safety, security, insurance, legal compliance or the suitability of a workspace for a particular person or purpose.
If you believe a listing contains incorrect or misleading information, please tell us through our contact page or email us at [INSERT CONTACT EMAIL].
4. Google Maps and other third-party services
The directory may include information, features or content supplied through Google Maps Platform, including map information, business details, opening information, ratings, review excerpts and photographs.
Your use of Google Maps features and content is subject to the current Google Maps Platform Terms of Service, Google Maps End User Additional Terms and applicable Google policies.
The directory may also contain links to workspace websites, booking platforms, social networks, payment providers and other third-party services.
We do not control third-party websites or services and are not responsible for their availability, security, content, privacy practices, prices or contractual terms. A link does not mean that we approve, recommend or guarantee the third party or its services.
You access and use third-party services at your own discretion and should review their terms and privacy information.
5. No recommendation or professional advice
Directory rankings, search results, categories, labels, editorial selections and Featured placements are provided for discovery and comparison purposes.
They do not constitute professional, legal, financial, property, health and safety or accessibility advice.
A workspace’s inclusion in the directory does not mean that we have inspected it, certified it, approved it or confirmed that it complies with any particular law, standard or industry requirement.
You remain responsible for deciding whether a workspace is suitable for your needs.
6. Featured and promoted listings
Some listings may receive greater prominence through paid Featured placements or editorial selection.
A paid Featured placement is advertising. It means that the listing has purchased increased visibility on a particular part of the directory. It does not mean that Digital Rentals considers the workspace better, safer or more suitable than other workspaces.
Featured status does not influence our obligation to correct information that we reasonably believe is inaccurate, unlawful or misleading.
We do not guarantee that a Featured placement will produce any particular number of:
- Views or impressions
- Clicks
- Enquiries
- Bookings
- Memberships
- Sales
- Website visits
- Search-engine rankings
- Financial returns
7. Acceptable use
You may use the directory for lawful personal or business research and to contact workspace operators.
You must not:
- Use the directory for any unlawful, fraudulent or misleading purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, Owners portal, accounts, systems or data
- Introduce viruses, malicious code or other harmful material
- Scrape, harvest, copy or systematically extract directory data without our written permission
- Use automated systems in a way that places an unreasonable load on our services
- Circumvent security, rate limits or access restrictions
- Impersonate another person or business
- Submit false ownership claims or fabricated evidence
- Use directory information to send unlawful marketing or spam
- Reproduce a substantial part of the directory to create or support a competing database or service
- Interfere with another person’s use of the directory
- Use our content or branding in a way that suggests an endorsement or relationship that does not exist
We may restrict or block access where we reasonably believe these terms have been breached or our services, users or third parties are at risk.
8. Intellectual property
Unless stated otherwise, the design, structure, branding, editorial content, software and original material forming part of Coworking Space UK belong to Digital Rentals or its licensors.
Third-party names, logos, photographs, reviews, maps and other content remain the property of their respective owners.
You may view and use the directory for its intended purpose. You may also share ordinary links to publicly available pages.
You may not reproduce, republish, sell, license, modify or commercially exploit a substantial part of our content without our prior written permission, except where the law expressly permits it.
9. Listing claims
Claiming an ordinary listing is free. Approval of a claim does not transfer ownership of the listing or give the claimant control over the directory.
To submit a claim, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Provide accurate and complete information
- Be the workspace owner or have authority to act for it
- Provide genuine ownership evidence when requested
- Keep your account and contact information secure
- Tell us if your authority to represent the workspace ends
We may approve, reject or request more information about a claim. We may revoke approval if we reasonably believe that a claim was inaccurate, unauthorised, fraudulent or no longer valid.
An approved listing owner does not automatically receive permission to edit a listing, publish content or administer Coworking Space UK.
10. Information submitted by listing owners
You remain responsible for information, evidence, messages, images and other material you submit.
You confirm that:
- The information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge
- You have the right and authority to provide it
- It does not infringe another person’s intellectual-property, privacy or other rights
- It is not unlawful, defamatory, fraudulent or misleading
- It does not contain malicious code or inappropriate confidential information
You grant Digital Rentals a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, review, reproduce, edit and publish submitted material as reasonably necessary to operate and promote the directory.
We may edit submitted material for style, length, clarity, formatting and consistency. We may refuse or remove material that we reasonably consider inaccurate, unlawful, misleading, irrelevant or inappropriate.
11. Paid Featured placements
Paid Featured placements are offered only to customers purchasing them for business purposes. By placing an order, you confirm that you are acting in the course of a business and have authority to bind that business.
Purchasing a Featured placement is separate from claiming an ordinary listing. Payment is for additional visibility, not for ownership of the listing or inclusion in the ordinary directory.
Available placements may include the homepage, search results, a collection page or an eligible location page.
Each placement target has limited paid capacity. Availability is generally allocated on a first-approved, first-reserved basis. Showing availability before checkout does not guarantee that the position will remain available while payment and ownership checks are completed.
12. Prices and payment
Prices are shown in pounds sterling and exclude VAT unless expressly stated otherwise. Applicable VAT or other taxes will be calculated and added during checkout.
Payment is processed by Stripe. Your use of Stripe may also be subject to Stripe’s terms and privacy information.
The price, discounts, placement targets and campaign duration recorded when your order is prepared will apply to that order. Later price changes will not normally change an existing paid order.
A payment receipt confirms that Stripe has processed the payment. It does not by itself confirm that your ownership claim has been approved or that every requested placement has been allocated.
13. Verification and allocation
A paid campaign requires both successful payment and approval of the related ownership claim.
We may request further evidence before approving a claim. If a claim is rejected, or if all purchased placements cannot be allocated because capacity has changed, the order may be placed into manual resolution.
Where we cannot provide the purchased campaign, we may offer an appropriate alternative or issue a full refund to the original payment method. We will not activate only part of a multi-placement order without your agreement.
Refund timing may depend on Stripe and your bank or payment provider.
14. Campaign duration and publication
Featured campaigns are available for a fixed term of 90 or 365 days, as selected during checkout. They do not renew automatically.
A paid campaign does not begin immediately on payment. Its term begins only when every purchased placement is included in the active published version of the directory.
Publication requires a separate review and deployment process, so there may be a reasonable delay between payment, claim approval, reservation and the campaign becoming visible.
If a later published version of the directory temporarily omits one or more purchased placements, the campaign may be paused. While paused, its remaining duration is preserved and resumes when all reserved placements return to the active directory.
When a campaign reaches the end of its term, its removal may take effect through the directory’s next publication cycle.
We may change the visual design, wording, layout and surrounding content of the directory. A purchase reserves prominence on the selected target; it does not guarantee an exact position, design, card size or appearance on every device.
15. Cancellations and refunds
Because Featured placements are purchased for business purposes and capacity is reserved for the customer, orders do not include a general cooling-off or cancellation right.
Once a campaign is live, it cannot normally be cancelled early and no refund is due merely because it receives fewer views, clicks, enquiries or bookings than expected.
We may issue a refund where:
- We cannot allocate the purchased placements
- A paid ownership claim is rejected and the campaign cannot proceed
- We have charged an incorrect amount
- We agree that a material service failure justifies a refund
- A refund is required by law
Any discretionary refund does not create an obligation to provide the same remedy in another case.
Nothing in this section limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
16. Promotion analytics
Listing owners may be shown estimates of Featured-placement impressions, clicks and click-through rates.
These figures are operational indicators rather than audited advertising or billing records. They may be affected by browser behaviour, automated traffic, network failures, duplicate activity, technical limitations and measurement rules.
We do not guarantee that analytics are complete, error-free or equivalent to figures produced by another analytics provider.
17. Accounts and security
You are responsible for activity carried out through your account and for maintaining the security of your email account, sign-in links and devices.
You must notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
We may suspend access while investigating suspected misuse, fraud, security issues or a breach of these terms.
18. Availability of the directory
We aim to keep the directory available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access.
We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the directory for maintenance, security, legal, operational or commercial reasons.
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, including failures of hosting providers, payment processors, internet services, mapping providers or other third-party systems.
19. Our liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for:
- Death or personal injury caused by negligence
- Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
- Any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited
Subject to those exceptions, Digital Rentals is not responsible for loss or damage arising from:
- Inaccurate, incomplete, outdated or AI-generated directory information
- Decisions made in reliance on a listing
- The acts, omissions, facilities, services or contracts of a workspace operator
- A third-party website, map, payment service or other external service
- Loss of profits, revenue, business, anticipated savings, goodwill or opportunity
- Indirect or consequential loss
- Loss caused by unauthorised access where you failed to protect your account
- Events outside our reasonable control
For free use of the public directory, our liability is limited to the extent permitted by law.
For a paid Featured-placement customer, our total aggregate liability arising from the relevant order will not exceed the amount paid to Digital Rentals for that order, except where the law does not permit that limitation.
These limitations apply only to the extent that they are fair and lawful in the circumstances.
20. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.
You should review that policy before submitting a claim, contacting us, creating an account or purchasing a Featured placement.
21. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms to reflect changes to the directory, our commercial services, third-party services or applicable law.
The current version will be published on this page with its effective date.
Changes will apply to future use of the directory. Terms recorded against an existing paid order will continue to govern that order unless a change is required by law, addresses a security risk or is expressly agreed with the customer.
22. General terms
If any part of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining parts will continue to apply.
A delay in enforcing these terms does not waive our right to enforce them later.
You may not transfer a paid order, claim or account to another person without our written agreement.
These terms, together with the applicable checkout information and Privacy Policy, form the agreement between you and Digital Rentals concerning use of the directory and any Featured-placement order.
No person other than you and Digital Rentals has a right to enforce these terms, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
23. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
The courts of England and Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes relating to business use or a Featured-placement purchase.
If you use the directory as a consumer, you retain any mandatory rights and may be entitled to bring proceedings in the courts applicable to where you live.
