About this space
A place to settle in and get things done.
Heya co-working is a small, community-run workspace in Leith, created by four friends who wanted a better place to work together. It offers a flexible, productive setting for remote workers and freelancers, with desks supplied with monitors and keyboards, fast Wi-Fi, and both laser and inkjet printers. The workspace combines practical facilities with a more relaxed, homely feel. Members can use the kitchen and lounge, take calls in a private room, and make use of an on-site shower. Dogs are welcome too, making the space a comfortable option for people who enjoy a little more flexibility in their working day. Heya’s distinctive feature is its workers’ co-operative model. Members collectively own and shape the space, sharing responsibility for keeping it friendly, inclusive and productive. The approach is designed to reduce the isolation that remote working can bring, while avoiding the impersonal feel of a large corporate office. There is also a genuine community element, with the communal space available for member-run clubs and gatherings, alongside shared lunches and optional social activities. Heya should appeal to people looking for a supportive place to focus, meet others and work alongside a small group of like-minded professionals in Leith.
