About this space
A place to settle in and get things done.
House of Toad is a non-profit community interest company in Glasgow’s West End, bringing together freelancers, remote workers, artists, small businesses and community organisations in a welcoming shared setting. Based in a characterful listed townhouse in Park Circus, it offers a friendly alternative to formal corporate coworking, with a strong emphasis on creativity, connection and belonging. Members can choose between three distinct ground-floor workspaces. The Grand Hall provides a quiet place for focused work, The School offers a more informal and collaborative environment with a bookable meeting room, and the Garden Room provides a comfortable base for dedicated desk users. Flexible memberships, day passes and dedicated desks make the space suitable for occasional visitors, regular remote workers and people looking for a more settled professional home. Members can also benefit from fast Wi-Fi, lockers, tea and coffee, meeting-room credits, a call booth and access to a café and social area. The first floor is home to purpose-built artist studios, while the wider venue supports workshops, meetings, exhibitions, rehearsals, celebrations and community events. House of Toad’s programme includes creative courses, drawing and painting sessions, sculpture, yoga and other wellbeing activities, with public events helping the building feel active and sociable beyond the working day. There is a clear social purpose behind the offer. Income from memberships, studio holders and venue hire is reinvested into creative education and community programmes for people who face barriers to participation, including care-experienced young people and individuals with additional support needs. Whether you need a calm desk, an inspiring studio, a place to gather or a friendly creative community, House of Toad offers an unusually human space to work, learn and connect.
