About this space
A place to settle in and get things done.
Jubilee Warehouse is a riverside workspace in Penryn created through the conversion of former storage units beside Jubilee Wharf. It provides 13 high-quality accessible workspaces in a range of sizes, suitable for studio or office use, with units arranged around a generous communal heart. The setting combines a practical base for independent work with the character of a shared creative building. At the centre is a glazed atrium with an oversized table for informal meetings and eating. River views are available throughout the building, while shared features include a kitchen, piano and table-tennis table. The atmosphere is relaxed and collaborative rather than corporate, making it a natural fit for small creative practices, consultants and other independent businesses that value a sense of community. Environmental design is a defining part of Jubilee Warehouse. The building achieved BREEAM Excellent and won the Cornwall Sustainability Awards Best Retro Fit award in 2015. Photovoltaic panels, rainwater-flushed toilets, underfloor heating, external insulation and electric vehicle charging points reflect a thoughtful approach to reducing resource use while keeping the workspace comfortable. Tenants also benefit from practical facilities including cycle parking, shower and clothes-drying provision and limited on-site parking. The current studio directory shows a lively mix of architecture, design, animation, conservation, communications and landscape work, giving Jubilee Warehouse a distinctive creative character in Penryn.
