About this space
A place to settle in and get things done.
The Tribe is a community-led rural coworking space in Berry Pomeroy, near Totnes, created primarily for female entrepreneurs, freelancers, creatives, community builders and women who work remotely or are growing a business. Its focus reaches beyond providing a desk: the smaller setting is designed to encourage genuine connection, collaboration and practical support between members. Flexible hot desks are available through day passes and monthly memberships. The open-plan workspace has high-speed fibre Wi-Fi, while a private Zoom room and meeting room provide useful space for confidential calls, online meetings and one-to-one conversations. A shared kitchen with refreshments, on-site parking and presentation equipment in the meeting room help make working days comfortable and straightforward. Business support is central to The Tribe’s offer. Founder Stacey Sheppard shares her experience through informal support in the workspace, workshops, networking gatherings, focused one-to-one sessions and longer programmes covering areas such as branding and marketing. The wider events calendar also brings together business, creative and wellbeing activities, giving members varied ways to learn and meet other local women. A separate studio extends the venue beyond everyday coworking, accommodating workshops, classes, retreats, small team days, private coworking sessions and community events. Although coworking access prioritises women, the meeting room and studio can be privately hired by anyone. Overall, the atmosphere is warm, thoughtfully designed and community-minded, suited to people who want both productive working time and a sense of belonging.
