About this space
A place to settle in and get things done.
Unit Base One is a creative workspace and film hub in Bournemouth for freelancers, start-ups and small businesses working in film and television. The hub offers shared coworking space, flexible hot desks and private offices designed for individuals and small teams. Its workspace provision is intended to support project-based work while giving members a professional base without the overheads of a conventional office. Facilities include meeting space for up to 10 people, a social area and kitchen for breaks and informal gatherings, as well as 24/7 workspace access and membership plans. The setting is on Bournemouth’s East Cliff, with spacious offices and sea views adding a distinctive character to the working environment. Beyond desk space, Unit Base One supports the wider local screen community through networking, mentoring, industry-focused workshops, coffee mornings and other events. Its BCP Crew Connect platform also brings together production crew and suppliers from Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole for online networking and in-person, virtual or hybrid events. Whether you are an established production professional, an emerging freelancer, a small creative business or a supplier to the screen industries, Unit Base One provides a collaborative place to work, meet and build useful local connections.
