About this space
A place to settle in and get things done.
Yr Egin is a creative and digital centre on the University of Wales Trinity Saint David campus in Carmarthen, bringing together practitioners, entrepreneurs, businesses and community groups. Its purpose is to encourage creative ideas, support developing talent and connect people through a lively programme of activities and shared facilities. Freelancers and businesses can use the co-working space for temporary desk hire, with superfast WiFi, electricity, kitchen access, parking and opportunities to connect with a close-knit creative community. The centre also houses offices for more than 15 organisations, creating a valuable network of companies working across media, broadcasting, design, education, the arts and business support. For meetings, conferences and public events, Yr Egin offers dedicated meeting rooms, flexible event areas and Y Stiwdio Fach, a black-box venue with professional sound and audio-visual equipment. Spaces can accommodate everything from smaller boardroom meetings to larger performances, screenings, workshops and conferences, with technical support available where needed. Specialist facilities include a dubbing studio, voice-over booth, green-screen studio, editing suite and multi-camera live-streaming equipment. These resources make the centre particularly useful for production companies, creative professionals, educators and organisations planning polished in-person or online events. Visitors can also call in for coffee or lunch at Y Gegin, attend talks, performances, screenings and workshops, or take part in activities aimed at families, young people, local residents and creative-industry professionals. The welcoming atmosphere makes Yr Egin a practical place to work, meet, learn and share ideas.
